National Day of Prayer 2013

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER 2013

Report on NDP 2013:

Good News: God Showed up!! His presence was such a blessing. We offered our individual offerings and He multiplied exceedingly abundantly more than we asked or expected. My hope is in the LORD. He is the hope of our salvation for our nation, kids, grandkids, and leaders.

Missouri City – 120 counted – 34 were participants - like the 14 on the program and the 20 or more of the home school boy scout troop. There were 90 attendees.

Sugar Land – estimated 500. 2012 was 800. 2011 was 1000. We were given a bigger tent and did not fill it. FBISD would not allow an excused absence for Boy Scouts to attend National Day of Prayer for lunch hour.

Meadows Place –?? - moved into the courtroom. last year 45

Sienna – 15 – 3 were pastors - 7 churches in Sienna area. Last year 22

Simonton – 23. Last year 15

Fulshear – 48. Last year 75

Rosenberg - 120 – last year 200

Stafford – ?? - mayor and council member came. Many youths prayed. All stayed till it ended despite the cold wind. Last year 120

Katy – no report received yet. Last year 3600

200 churches in SL, MC, ST, and RR were notified with promotional materials for six weeks before the event that occurs every year on the same day. Many churches in SL and MC have thousands of members, many hundreds of members. For six weeks the weekly publications - Herald, Sun, Star, and FB Independent and monthly publications were asked to press release the information. Radio and TV were contacted. SL churches were called and invited. Any further ideas would be appreciated.

My prayer is not for numbers. I’m afraid to pray for numbers because what would it take? The tragedy in Boston, Sandy Hook, our losses in Afghanistan highest month ever in the engagement, a ghastly abortion clinic horrors exposed and the defense claims the abortionist was within the law, FDA approved the morning after pill for over the counter purchase for 15 year olds, homosexuality promotion being congratulated by our president, the Supreme Court considering ending traditional marriage, government lying to cover up failures and hidden agendas, military chaplains gag ordered in their ministry, military personnel to be punished for mentioning their faith, our military being used as a social experiment destined to fail and to destroy many lives, worldly churches, failing families, corrupt businesses, our children and grandchildren being taken captive by a perverted culture, and we can’t come together and pray. What would it take to come together and pray?
